Time Capsule configuration help

I’ve recently purchased a Time Capsule for automated backups of my at-work computer, a new 15” MBPro. I only want the Time Capsule and MBPro connected wirelessly, with no other devices or networks in the mix. I don’t want the Time Capsule connected to the Internet or anything like that, I just want the two devices to communicate via Airport for the sake of wireless backups only.

For the life of me, I can’t figure out how to do this. I keep running into Internet error messages. I know there’s got to be a way. Suggestions?

Hi,

As far as I can tell, I’m trying to do the same as you ie a Time Capsule without any wired connection to a router). Sadly, I have not figured it out. Could you give me so direction as to how you got it going. I though I could simple let it join the current wireless network and away it would go…. but it doesn’t.

Any help much appreciated.
