Hi. Here I reveal TOTAL IGNORANCE!

I got my apple email about a free BOBBY FLAY ibok available on itunes. So i downloaded it and it showed up.

So the question is - how do I see or view or hear this book as..- clicking on the icon does nothing so I am clueless.

I do NOT have ipad ipod touch or iphone. just Imac!

You need an iPad or iPhone or iPod Touch.

They just added the capability to buy them via iTunes and sync to the device. Before you could only purchase via the device itself.

I do hope they add a reader app for Mac OS X in the future. It may not be as comfy as laying down on the couch with an iPad, but it seems silly to not offer any way to access your books from your desktop or laptop.

Well, if it were not for the fact that my husband did not know you needed and ipod touch or ipad for the reader - I would feel REALLY REALLY stupid.
So I’m just REALLY stupid.

THE OTHER THING..per the Moderator’s comment - I don’t read lying down in a couch! I always am sitting up - better for my back!
So it would be nice if I could e read on the imac or lap top (wow - my 27” imac -what a beautiful screen for reading a book!)
