I advise keeping a close eye on a long term chart of IV when timing LEAP purchases.

Thanks for the tip! Do you have any rules of thumb (or could you point to a reference elsewhere) on IV levels?

Is anyone considering ATM or ITM leaps?

Yes, of course! Not excluding them from consideration, and will try to have a mix of deep ITM, far OTM, and all in between. But this time, perhaps I should consider fewer strikes. Still watching.
