Whats the story with this TabCo company?
Their supposed big product/company reveal is Monday.
Is it actually a big company like Microsoft/Nokia? Or perhaps Amazons tablet launch?

Lots of new Apple Store buzz this weekend (5!). Check out the store opening crowd in Florence, Italy.

I like the fact they opened a store minutes from RIMM’s headquarters.

As long as AAPL is concerned, I’m not worried, at all, all of my RRSP (canadian registered retirement saving plan) is in AAPL and I don’t plan to retire until at least another 10 years.
Ha, one can only wonder what AAPL common will be trading at in 10 years.

Ten years ago I purchased my first block of AAPL @ $9.57 per share and it’s up over 4000% to date.

Google buying Motorola Mobility for 12.5 billion is breaking news now. Aapl was trading around $380 on pre pre-market and now is $376.97.
Google becoming a hardware player.

Who is correct, GOOG selling hard down -3.33% or AAPL down -0.29%?
Will AAPL rebound?
Flogging! Oh no! -
And/or making a play to build up their IP position.
This is a risky move and my immediate reaction is risk exceeds reward. The ONLY way Android will beat iOS is by way of sheer volume of manufacturer support. Will that support wane if Google have a hardware arm? With HP talking of licensing WebOS, and MS coming out to play soon, Android won’t be the only ball in the park any more…
Net positive for AAPL in my immediate thoughts. Happy days.

I think AAPL should make a counter bid if only to force Google to cough up more money.
Seems like a desperate move by Google for IP protection to me.
Could potentially offer a way for APPL to offer a lower end unit without diluting their brand while gaining MFG capacity and selling more of their A5 chips.

Flogging! Oh no!Don’t know but I’m sure they’re not celabrating in HTC, LG and Samsung offices. Meanwhile RIMM is up +6%, go figure.

NOK is also up +5%. It’s all M&A speculation. DELL or HPQ could be interested in RIMM at this point. OTOH, I don’t see AAPL bidding for MMI. What if GOOG calls their bluff, and doesn’t counter-offer?
BTW, this is a huge decision for GOOG, roughly 30% of their entire cash position. My guess is this came from the top. This is Larry Page exercising his newly-found CEO muscle. HTC, Samsung, and all the other Android manufacturers will definitely have to reconsider their positions.

Maybe this is the Tabco big news. If not, poor Tabco, talk about bad timing.
