Moving huge folders

I got a huge Documents folder on my start up disk that I want to move to one of the other internal hard drives on this Mac Pro in order to free up some much needed space on the start up disk. Any one any suggestions on how to do this?

I also have a huge ban of photos in an Iphotolibrary4 I built up on a fairly new macbook. I have made a copy of the library on an external hard drive and now wish to import it into the iphoto 2 library on my early 2088 Mac PrO. Again, can anyone shed any light please?

    thanks in advance

If you have a mass of large folders and files, try our document management solution, Docmoto. Set up a server and move all the information to that. Docmoto stores and records everything so you can search for it all in one place. Plus you get the benefit of it being Mac native software.
