Need TV advice

I was finally going to break down and buy a new flat panel TV this year after helping my dad research his and then set it up. he got a 42” Sharp Aquos 1080 edge-lit LED TV and it’s really nice. I’m kind of a picky monitor buyer and I still think most flat panel TVs look like I’m watching crappy pixelated YouTube video, but this TV looked nice and had loads of ports too. So I was gonna buy the 32” version which will fit in my house, but I come to find out they stopped making it. Sharp doesn’t even sell a 32” 1080 TV any longer. Does anyone have any advice on an equivalent set, or a trusted place to possibly buy a refurbed Sharp?
