The scenes of thousands of Chinese lined up for the phones will be a great “bump” to bullish momentum on January 13th.

Just in time for the year of the water dragon that begin on Jan 23.

But of all the Dragon years, the 2012 Water Dragon is most likely to bestow the Chinese Five Blessings of harmony, virtue, riches, and fulfillment and longevity, adding even more weight to the growing belief that 2012 will be about breakthroughs, not disasters.

Have a friend that was visiting Phoenix over the holidays, was trying to buy 3 iPhones 4s’s and went to 5 Apple stores and they were all sold out. Had to go back a few days later to get one when they got stock in.

The way I see it, if Apple hasn’t met supply/demand balance through online ordering in the US, or by checking US carrier partners, you can reasonably infer that Apple hasn’t met global supply/demand balance yet.

Probably a “good problem to have”.  It’ll be very interesting to see the numbers in 20 days.
