AAPL One-Hour Chart (with my notes):

Need a second opinion on whether this is a proper identification of “hidden bullish divergence.”

I know less about hourly charts than just about anyone, but since you asked….

The last time the price pierced the 100 hour MA while trending up, it went well below before reversing.

RSI and Stochastic are clearly oversold, but MACD is still falling.  At the three previous yellow stars, MACD had already turned north.

Summary:  Maybe sometime Monday, but not 9:30.

See disclaimer above.

This daily chart looks ugly to me.  I don’t like it, but it is what it is, not what I want it to be.

Now to the weekly, which is more my territory…

MACD is not bearish yet, but headed that way.

RSI downtrend is still intact, but the trend line is being tested and if we can have a big week, Yippee.

Stochastic is overbought, but just a teeny bit.

Bolliger near the top, but within bounds.

Weekly volume remains low and is about half what it was pre-earnings in Oct.

Still well above the long term trend line (note though, that I use log scale for this) and the 50-week moving average is way down at 368.

I am putting on some options spreads on Monday, or at least plan to.  I’ll post details on the options thread if I can find it. smile  After what happened to GOOG, I am looking for the big shots to be careful and don’t expect a big run up on Monday, so I am hoping to get some decent prices.

How come you didn’t draw the upward ascending channel?

How come you didn’t draw the upward ascending channel?

For those who don’t know what Eric is saying, please refer to this daily chart.  The line joining $396.41 and $431.37 (upper channel) is parallel with the line joining $363.32 and $377.68 (lower channel).  Price is within the channel, hence uptrend is intact.  Trend is considered broken when price is below the lower channel.
