Hey, unhedged calls will do the trick nicely too.  If AAPL is “only” 725 by February, that’ll be a lot of happy Apr 13 call holders.

To each their own.  I was only able to get a few Jan 14 890/900s.  I have orders out for other home run-type plays.

Current target price for around end of December…700 is in play, at least.

$700? Is in play? I don’t think so. I believe more strongly than ever before that by the end of the calendar year $900 is the target. I usually predict for late January 2013 because of the fact we will see $23+ EPS for the quarter but now that we really might have iPad mini and Apple TV for the quarter I am thinking $900 may come even sooner. It sounds a bit crazy but the catalysts here are insanely huge…and numerous.

End of December I think we will be in the $900 neighborhood, but I do not believe we’ll see either the iPad mini, or an Apple TV.  They aren’t required to hit that range.

You may not believe it but iPad mini is close to a done deal for this year in my book. Apple TV is absolutely a done deal for some time in the future but not necessarily for this year. I do think we’ll see it this year though. Apple’s partners have had prototypes for over 18 months now. At some point they are releasing it and I think there’s a good chance it’ll be this year. I want more parts to leak out soon though to confirm this hunch.

Conservative in my estimates but always glad to see them exceeded.  I try to temper expectations and stay focused on realistic and reasonable gains.  Everything else is gravy.

I sure do like the idea of $700 though. smile

No they are not.  That is a bit above my target, but I am position to do well even pretty far below my target.  I’ll delighted with $700, thrilled with $800, and will need medication at $900 smile

    Edit: I have Jan 2013 $550’s at a cost of $77.73.

Wow, nice buy on the 550’s. I have 600’s at $40. Wish I had more of them. Oh well.

    Congrats!!

I’ll be retiring in May no matter what AAPL does.

I’ll enjoy more, though, when Apple underperforms what it might do smile

I can’t retire until we hit $4000.  That’s because if I keep working and re invested the dividend (insyead of living off of it) for 4 extra years, my portfolio increases so much that I will generate $500k in dividends alone.

So I will keep working for another 7 years.

My target was conservative at $625 back in January.  I like pleasant surprises of hitting it 8 months early like in April.smile

$900 will only happen if we have a killer 4th quarter not only in iPhones but everything else.  No mini or Apple TV.

7 million was mentioned as a possible first weekend sales for iPhone 5 after a 4 million first weekend for the 4S. We’re going to blow 7M out of the water. I’m thinking 10M plus. I have full confidence that TC can get the supply chain ready for a launch of that magnitude.

Sure would be sweet if we could get that weekend in this quarter. It would go a long way to make up for any slow sales on the iPhone 4S.
