OK, I’ll admit it.  I have a sort of fondness for Megan on TechTV’s The Screen Savers.  A big part of that is the fact that she fights for the Mac on the show.

The Mac gets about 10-15% of every Screen Savers broadcast, which is bigger than our market share might warrant, but every once in a while, Megan makes an extra little jab for the platform.

Last week, when one viewer wrote in saying they wanted more Mac tips, Megan chimed in with “me too.”  When it was suggested it might not be possible, she asked “why not, because we would look too smart?”  (Not an exact quote, but a close one)

Tonight, during her Stupid Mac Tricks segment, she said that if you use a Mac, you’re smarter, cuter, more productive, and something else that I don’t remember.  That’s my kind of girl!  icon_biggrin.gif

In any event, it’s very nice to see someone fighting for the Mac on TV.

Yep. Megan’s “keeping it real” for the Mac.

Both Pat and Leo are also fond of the Mac platform, which helps. Leo actually uses his G3 PowerBook on the show occasionally. (Pat is a self proclaimed “recovering Mac addict”)

It’s also nice to see the SE/30 featured fairly prominently on the set. (Don’t know what that newly added LCD screened monstrosity is though)

And have you noticed the AlternaTip might as well be called the OSXTip lately? Not that I’m complaining.

I had noticed that Leo was also somewhat of a Mac fan, but I get the distinct impression that Patrick is not.

I don’t think Pat uses them anymore, but I am sure I’ve heard him talking about his past experience on the platform.

On today’s (rerun?) show, I think I heard Leo say that he bought a Cube. Brett Larsen was on too, who is a big supporter of Macs.

I’ve even heard John C. Dvorak mention that he likes Macs. (Except the clamshell iMac of course. icon_smile.gif )
