Beer and a whiskey chaser…..The last couple of days have felt almost “normal” in that price action did not sway too violently and pinning action seemed almost predictable (no runaway train).  FUD remmains part of the game, but the Ipad lines across Europe and the excellent reviews continuing to come in more than offset the nonsense.

Just whiskey for me…  The last few days will teach you (ok, me…) a lot about VXAPL, IV and effect on option pricing.

While nobody is happy with the price action during the last few days, I for one am ecstatic as to what has happened year to date!  Also, the price action that occurred today even makes my shares purchased today at $542 look good.  :-D

A round of drinks for all.

I purchased shares a month or so ago at 548, wondering if I was a fool to do so. What happy fools we be, MadMax and me.

Edit: failed to catch “today” so missed the joke.

In truth, I have no common, but still have 2/3’s of what I held through earnings,  If we add another $50 to $75 per share in a ramp to earnings, it’ll be get out the rye bread and mustard Grandma, it’s Grand Salami time, baby!  Do you agree, Red?

    Good Afternoon Boys and Girls

Well being away is not helping, but like last year we should really move on Monday.

Did buy a few shares in AH on my iPhone while driving 80 mph.  Could not resist.  A good sale does not last long and I did not want to buy at 603 on Monday.

Etrade should increase my buying power and I will buy a few more shares on Monday anyway.

Had a nice bloody Mary at 1 am at the Cosmo in Vegas.  Their suites are just incredible by the way.

May have a martini tonight at the Marriott bar here in SLC.

Now need to catch up on Apple news.

“...but like last year we should really move on Monday.”

What’s the reason for your optimism, Spongie?  Are you thinking “window dressing” time, or more “within the gravitational pull of earnings”?

    What exactly happened last year?

    Thanks in advance.

Last the Japan earthquake took us down with the market.  Then ove the weekend AT&T announced try we’re buying TMobie.  Our stock really jumped on Monday.

This time I think we will act like last week.  Stuck at 585 before going up on Monday.

Market is down for three days.  Profit taking is over.  Time to get the train moving again.

    This is a good read.

I am all right with this week’s action.  I added some Oct $550’s and a Jan 2014 $600 on weakness this week, but a little higher than they are now.  Planting seeds if you will.  Dumped the weeklies I bought yesterday early this morning at a loss, but the $2739 I started out with playing with weeklies is worth $3,689 even with this week’s loss.

Have gone from $39,684 at the start of the year to $147,910 as of the close today.  Planning on closing the October position by the end of April and buying shares with those profits.  The Jan 2014’s will keep printing money for a long time, I predict.

    Laughable.

One would have been better off buying and holding over the period of their AAPL coverage.

These past few days have me very worried. Any idea if we see a 600+ close again anytime soon?
