AAPL DAILY CHART (with my notes):
Your comment in the lower right hand corner of the above graph indicates: “Downwave in a Down Trend”. Say it ain’t so, Ms. iPad, that we are now in a downtrend. I though the island reversal needs to be confirmed first.

RG, that’s one of the more sensitive indicators. Since MACD’s a lagging indicator, I like a heads-up. On the down side, you can get false signals (downtrend versus downwave. So let’s watch and see what happens with the standard MACD-h, but just know that a shift has occurred (weaker momentum and volume), and currently, the wind is in our faces, not at our backs.

iPad, I’ll dare to be contrarian on this one.
Apple’s court win from Friday felt a little like…for lack of better thought at the moment…QE2.
OTOH, AAPL actually IS holding higher for now. I know, I know, AAPL heading downward over 4 days makes technicals look bad on some timeframes. But AAPL is still comfortable with its new highs, and it’s still floating over Friday’s close.
Am I just ignoring the charts at my own peril by saying this?

In good news, I do believe we invalidated that pesky “island top” today!
Now, if we can just take out the ATH with good volume, we can invalidate the potential Head & Shoulder top too. EDIT: I’m smiling with those last two…not smirking!!!

)And now, it sounds like (from what I’m read) the AAPL chart resolved any near-term bearish issues! At least until tomorrow.
