Using Xgrid on a mac without Lion Server.

Hello fellow Mac-lings. I have what I hope is a simple and straight forward question. Is there a way to use the power of Xgrid on multiple macs in the house without having to install Lion server.

I would use my Mac Pro as the controller and want to use four other macs around the house as the agents. Can this be done. I have done some digging in google but have come up short. I turn to my fellow geek community for help.
