  Well, finally placed an order for a new iMac, or rather a refurbished 21” mid-range i5. Got tired of waiting for the latest and greatest, and this should do for now.

  I hummed and hawed, costed out both a Macbook Pro and a 27” iMac, thought about it, had another beer, vacillated again and decided to wait until next year.

  Hey, why not? My 24” is fine. I don’t need to upgrade; I just want to.

  I, on the other hand, am replacing a six-year-old 17” first-gen intel iMac with a dying monitor. =/

  Theoretically, I probably could have waited until the middle of August to buy a new iMac; but that was time I couldn’t spend working on my projects or playing the games I wanted. With this, I can probably wait until Haswell comes out to get a new iMac, or maybe even see what the 2013 Mac Pro looks like.
