    What’s your read iPad?

My Magic 8-Ball says:  “Wait a few more hours for revised Greek vote results, then ask again later.”  I hate it when it gives me the uncertain replies.

    Made in Hedgeston, Dunnostonia?

(Sweet!  There’s a Hedgeston street name in Texas and Georgia.  They must live on the fence over there *WWDC iPad comic drum riff*)

I predict the pro-bailout crowd carries the vote and markets rally.

If the Greeks cannot form a govt - all this is useless.

ND wins but can they get enough seats?

EDIT:  Hopefully the futures will provide some optimism.  Though maybe it’s just me, I’m particularly wary of futures that are _too_ green early on (/Spain)

    Greece and Monday

Stocks and risky assets are set to rise when the market opens in Asia, according to analysts, following the victory for the New Democracy Party in the second Greek election.

Despite not winning a clear majority New Democracy, led by Antonis Samaras, will be able to form a coalition government in Greece after beating off competition from the radical leftist SYRIZA party.

“This will inspire a market rally as the New Democracy Party and the socialist PASOK party move to form a coalition,” Megan Greene, the director of European Economics at Roubini Global Economics told CNBC.com on Sunday.

“New Democracy has won, it is a done deal. Moreover, they should be able to form a government with PASOK with a decent majority, which is risk positive,” said Thanos Vamvakidis, the head of European G10 FX strategy at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London

But while there could be a rally on Monday morning the risk-on trade may not last long.

“Even if it proves slightly more risk positive, I suspect it will be very short lived given the uncertainties over the withheld troika payment from May. Any recovery in prices is an opportunity to reduce risk further” Simon Derrick, the chief currency strategist at Bank of New York Mellon told CNBC.com following the election result.

I keep getting little snippets from the different news channels so I still don’t have a clear picture about a government coalition.  Tonight CNBC is airing “A Greek Tragedy” and will be reviewing the election and supposedly what the results may mean.  It’s on at 8:00 pm EST.  I think I may be watching it.

There is no coalition as of right now.  Results are still settling in.  The “horse trading” has only just begun.

US Open may still be on smile

We’ll have some indication from the futures before too long

    US index futures say:  Whew!

I think the early, fairly optimistic tone (up close to 0.7%) strikes the right balance.

EDIT:  Annnnnnd about 15 minutes later NASDAQ 100 futures drop from +17 to +9.  It’s gonna be interesting the whole day, I bet.
