Ok - forget the CNBC thing - it’s a documentary on how Greece got to where they are.  For crying out loud—I wanted business commentary not this nonsense.  Is there any good coverage anywhere?

We bottomed around this time last year…  Let’s see if we can close above 579…  That’s the daily SMA-50…

We’re only 25-ish points from 600, and there’s a gap up there we need to fill. :D

Asia indexs up nicely, but most of that is just catch-up on the US markets from Friday.

I’m up late reading a mind-bending Elliott Wave book, and I just now came across an alternate name for Evil Overlords that cracked me up: Gnomes of Zurich. :D

Low interest rates driving sales? What could go wrong?

Actually, banks hoarding millions of REO’s, leading to low inventories and thus false shortages/demand is driving sales.

Anyone who thinks this is a housing bottom, I have some swampland to sell you.

It’s like we’re in a porsche headed straight for a cliff and, good brakes/breaks, we end up with most of the car still on terra firma and the front end of the car hanging precipitously above the canyon floor.  Time to celebrate? You bet. My (developing) plan is to buy at open and sell soon thereafter. But, though celebrating not going over the cliff, I’ll be careful not to lean too forward.
Regarding real estate, for prime properties in La Jolla/San Diego, my broker friends tell me there now are multiple buyers bidding prices up.  WIll these properties appreciate at some point?  Depends on whether we get out of the porsche without going over the cliff, I guess.
What’s the end game? I don’t know… but I do suspect that last week’s oddly-low IV will likely move more toward the mean and that Apple will go up and down a lot this week.

Really? How appropriate, being that the solstice marks the end of a move in one direction.  Speaking of celestial bodies…  Lot’s of lunar “energy” with New Moon/High Tides Tuesday morning.
