Apple Podcast App and Premium Subscriptions

  For now it looks like Apples Podcast app does not handle subscriptions that need password authentication at least for automatic download.

  Those of us who are premium subscribers to MGG may want to hold off installing this app until it has this functionality.

  If you have already installed and run the Podcast app the only solution I have found is to uninstall the Podcast app, remove the paid feed from the sync list in iTunes, sync the phone/iPad/iPod and then re-adding the paid feed in iTunes and syncing again seems to bring it back to the Music app.

  The podcast app looks great but clearly is not ready for prime time if it can’t handle paid feeds that need authentication.

  What I can’t figure out is why do they mess up when they separate the podcast app from the main itunes app when they already had it right when it was still integrated?
