Mac Mini purchase advice

  Hi All,

  My Macbook is showing its age (memory maxed , hard drive tapped, hardly no battery life when not connected to an outlet).  I’m thinking about the Mac Mini as a replacement.  It’s cost efficient and I should be able to connect it to my LED using HDMI (hello, big screen). 

  My personal use cases are
  -internet browsing
  -occassional video watching
  -lots of music listening
  -game (though i haven’t been able to play a Mac game in years because of hardware/space restrictions) 

  My question is: would the $799 mini make me happy or should I hold until the next refresh?
