  Saturday night.    As quiet as the AFB is this weekend, it sounds like a good time to energize a new fleet of servers and run some really heavy duty load tests.

  It’s most certainly not a routine drill.  Maybe this is the prep for the next giant wave of iPhone pre-orders, which are set to take place in a little over a month if the rumored launch timetable holds.

  OTOH, new products?  Nuh uh.  Except maybe that fabled Thunderbolt to FireWire 800 adapter?

  They did not have it on the floor of the Apple Retail store, but had it in the back when I asked on Thursday. Worked like a champ and saved my bacon for the final edit for my retirement movie.
