Thank you very much Prazan. In the grand scheme of things, over the long haul, I should be okay if I just hold onto my shares and buy the dips. That takes a lot of the thought/second guessing out of it.

ZAP! Comment gone. I missed that it was JD who snared those 1,000 shares on margin at $585. Sharp move! I’m ready to follow in your footsteps at the next WTF sale.

That you hold these shares on margin changes the reasoning. The downside is greater, so the impulse to book profits might be stronger. I think JD once advised a 25% cap on margin shares as good protection agains margin calls.
Not to mention, unlike selling puts on margin, where there is just risk of assignment, these are actual shares, hemorrhaging margin interest.

Hello, EOs. Wondering where you were the past couple hours or so.
This last hour of trading is always fun (well, if you’re more of an observer
)I sold my Jan 13 BCS trade at a mild loss (needed to change the setup to more conservative), and I’ll probably rebuy near end of day unless I see some genuine weakness from AAPL. Dec 12 or later most likely.

Well, the changes at AppleInsider make the changes here look good, by comparison. So much for being able to see all the headlines at a glance. Now I need to scroll down a couple of pages. Is everyone redesigning their sites for the iPad as the primary consuming device? Looks like it. Looks terrible on a horizontal/landscape screen.

It would seem to me that a lot of people are positioning for the coming week. Some people take money off the table on Friday as a matter of course. The others are ready for some Monday adrenalin.
