I’m currently in Portland too, and couldn’t get in for 40 minutes, so there was nothing magic about Portland. Once I did get in though, it was super fast, unlike the New iPad launch. Ordered 2 phones: 32GB and a 64GB, both unlocked.

Finally!
Got a Black 64G, a RED iPod Nano and an extra adaptor.
I guess the iPad and Macs will get the new connector on the the next update.
iPad - sure
Macs - uh…the other end of the Lightning connector is a standard USB connector.

Bought mine on the Verizon website at around 12:20 Pacific with deliver 9/21. I notice the Apple Store is now showing shipping in 2 weeks?

I guess supply is so low that they’ve already blown through it. Which means they won’t sell the 6 million, will miss earnings once again, and the stock will surely tank! :D

Fell asleep and woke up around 4am Eastern, logged onto Apple’s site and see it’s 2 weeks shipping time even for the unlocked $699 16GB (Canada) as well. So I guess mom gets her new iPhone by Oct 5, 2 weeks after launch :(

Mine says:

Receive it within 7 days after shipping by Standard ShippingAnd that’s on a CAD$699 iPhone pre-ordered at 410am Eastern. So I guess I’ll receive it by Oct 5th.
I did not know demand for unsubsidized phones would be that high!

Using the Apple Online Store, from the San Francisco Bay Area, I upgraded my iPhone 4 with a Black 64GB iPhone 5 at 12:49 AM. I wanted to pick it up at a local Apple Store but that option was already greyed out. So I went with delivery on 9/21/12 and got a confirmation e-mail with that date. Glad I didn’t hesitate. After going back into the bedroom to ask my sleeping wife if she wanted to do an early upgrade of her iPhone 4S and receiving a, “Whatever you think” from her, I hurried back to the computer to do the early upgrade. Her confirmation e-mail, time stamped 23 minutes later at 01:12 AM, showed “available to ship in two weeks”. Dang. Oh well, she’ll still consider that way better than waiting until June of 2013, which is when AT&T would allow her to upgrade with no penalty.
Happy to know that the new iPhone will be here soon and really enjoyed seeing all the activity and enthusiasm on this board of others ordering the new phone. Hope that enthusiasm shows up in another AAPL ATH tomorrow.
