Time to dump talk about Max Pain and transition to Max Pleasure!  Call me mad or crazy.  Just don’t call me Shirley.  smile

Thank you Apple for rewarding me with a common stock twenty-bagger.

One of the best decisions I ever made.

There were two 2:1 splits since you bought those. If I am figuring the exchange rate correctly, you paid about USD $11.92 for those shares at the time, giving you a split adjusted cost basis of USD $2.98/share (for 400 shares). That’s way more than a 20-bagger. That’s about a 233-bagger, if I’m doing the math correctly. Well done.

I have one of those from RBC too, except from 2002.  I had not looked at it in years until a few months back.  I am thinking of getting it framed.  My price was $15.11 but there has only been one split since then.

Kind of cool to see yours here.

My oldest shares were bought in 2003 for USD $6.435/share (split adjusted), only 200 shares. But had about a 92-bagger on that when I sold for just under $600. I thought that was pretty good, at the time. Kinda wish I still had those…

Actually, the 16.125 price is USD so split adjusted, it is $4.03/share. With current exchange rates, I’ve got a 120-bagger. Certainly hope the USD recovers before I have to convert USD back to CAD.

Regarding framing… that’s funny. I was thinking the same thing. smile

Your talk of RBC has changed the banner Ad to show RBC for me.

I first bought back in 2001, right after the keynote. Around $11.50 (split adjusted). I used CIBC (testing if this affects my banner ads too)

Yes, many congratulations on a sensational long term investment! Truly exceptional.
Although I had been using Apple products since 1988 I did not start investing in the company until January 2005 when the iPod had started becoming fashionable. I remember playing a game of trying to count the number of white earphones in the streets during my walk to and from my office in central London. I though I might have missed the boat investing in Apple and was slightly nervous of the 26x PE and the fact that the share price had already quite risen sharply during the past 6 months…However It just shows that it is never too late to become a long term shareholder in an exceptional business!

Trade Commission judge rules Apple did not violate Samsung patent rights
U.S. International Trade Commission judge James Gildea ruled that Apple (AAPL) did not infringe Samsung’s (SSNLF) patent rights with its import and sale of certain iPhones, iPads and iPods. The posting of the determination to the ITC’s site indicated that is an initial determination and a complete recommendation will be issued at a later time.

    Friday roundup.

Through nearly the entire day, AAPL was over 690.  For a majority of the day, over 693.  Profit takers moved in halfway thru the day.  Some longs were already headed home for the weekend.

In this last half-hour of trading, we are in 690-692, except for some people who had the nerve to dip to 689.73

As I type, coming in to the last 30 seconds.  691.28

    Time for Weekend Update !!

If I was trading in shorter time frames, I would most likely have taken profits today, so I don’t begrudge the action toward the end of the day. New ATH, new ATCH. Good reasons to celebrate.

Happy days smile  I brought my first at $325 around the time of the Japan earthquake.  Through the leverage of options I got my first 12 bagger (1200%).
