This update is a bit like the 4S + 4 rolled into one.  Really liking it.

Yup, the time-honored Dock Connector is about to go.

Clearly, “Lightning” must support Thunderbolt.  Right?  (Or not?)

And yes, it IS a reversible connection.  No one said the CABLE had to have 2 sides of contacts!

And yes, the adapter is FUGLY and impractical.  SELL.  AAPL.  NOW!!

Meanwhile, Apple resisted the first effort to sell the news, bouncing off 657 to 664 at 1:40 EST.

That was a pretty weak effort to take the stock down. We’re now up over 1%. No time to look at charts, but it appears my stink bids this morning will not be executed.

Turn by turn directions on GPS might be a big selling point. If it works better than the other GPS systems out there. Easy to keep the nav maps up to date, too.

A little hop about Safari, full screen browsing and sharing tabs.

But now the big one—Passbook.  edit—dammit, too quick.

I would really like to see live TV broadcasting of Apple events, at least the major ones.  I know there would be risks of technical glitches, but it would be worth taking that risk, imo.  Apple has become such a cultural force, why not amplify the message?

I’m trying to be some hyper-entitled tech snob here.

Apparently I’m selling it pretty well.

Anodized colors.  Shades of iPod mini!  And it’s aluminum.  So long, back glass.

    And hello, Jony Ive!
