AAPL trading is crazy choppy.  But still outpacing the markets.

Kicker #1 is release date.  After that, who knows what AAPL will do through Friday.

Engadget notes:  there is no NFC which most of us in the AFB also did not expect to be included.

Speaking of tech snobs, no there isn’t NFC, wireless charging, or micro-USB.  Who’d you think this was.

NFC - not mainstream, OLD TECH (See:  Lightning)

Wireless charging - not mainstream, STUPID tech in current form (See: dumb inductive charging, would add bulk/cost, stuff like WiTricity is still too new, not like the S III does it)

Micro-USB - Apple owns iOS, you better believe it won’t cave to industry standards for charge/sync.

Yup, ships on the 21st!  A nice aggressive launch.  As for GB capacity, keep waiting for more standard memory…who knows when a base model will exceed 16GB.

Ah, and to think iPad mini is 90% sure to be around the corner!  Happy thoughts.

Since we’re talking iPod and iTunes, AAPL is sure to tank.  Oh well.

I’m wondering if the EOs are going to try to take the stock down again in the event the Mini isn’t mentioned. Choppy trading indeed.

Lines are already forming in Hong Kong and Singapore.

How many can Apple ship in nine days?

Interesting - the $99 iPhone 4S is 16GB - it hasn’t been changed to 8GB like previous years models have been.

iPod Nano getting an update.  Here’s the link, but probably not the new one

The new iPod Nano is a grand slam homerun in the making. Of course, it doesn’t matter much to the overall picture for AAPL but it will sell a shitload of units.

    AAPL still active.  665-666.

    NEWSFLASH:  SIRI FOR IPOD TOUCH.

I wonder if my current generation iPod touch will handle it.
