Engadget notes: there is no NFC which most of us in the AFB also did not expect to be included.

Speaking of tech snobs, no there isn’t NFC, wireless charging, or micro-USB. Who’d you think this was.
NFC - not mainstream, OLD TECH (See: Lightning)
Wireless charging - not mainstream, STUPID tech in current form (See: dumb inductive charging, would add bulk/cost, stuff like WiTricity is still too new, not like the S III does it)
Micro-USB - Apple owns iOS, you better believe it won’t cave to industry standards for charge/sync.

Yup, ships on the 21st! A nice aggressive launch. As for GB capacity, keep waiting for more standard memory…who knows when a base model will exceed 16GB.

The new iPod Nano is a grand slam homerun in the making. Of course, it doesn’t matter much to the overall picture for AAPL but it will sell a shitload of units.
