Panorama camera is not available on iPod touch—> iPhone 4S or 5 only.
Even for fun, the new Maps is going to be attractive.

The similarity in layout of the iPhone “compare” pages and the iPod “compare” page led me to believe there was no Panorama.
Voila—iPod touch is more likely than ever as gifts for this season.

Anyone noticed how Cook, Shiller, et al., all seem like they just bought their dress shirts from the Ross store down the street and barely had time to extract all the pins from the shirt before putting it on?
I know they want to look hip and not all stodgy with a suit and tie. (When I interviewed at NeXT many years ago, I was explicitly requested to not wear a suit and tie.) But sheesh, at least tuck the shirt in. You’re not 20-something.

With iCloud Tabs and all the people moving over to iOS6 in the next month (millions!), I think people on Windows would look seriously at using Safari on Windows as their preferred browser. (Unless enterprising plugin devs make iCloud Tabs plugins for IE and FF and Chrome instead)

They should have kept the thickness the same and increased the battery life to 12-14 hrs. it would give the iphone a huge edge on the competition
—-This also would have allowed for a better camera with f/2.0A little curvature to the back for style, which would add more battery space and even a better centered camera would have pleased me. But its a nice update.

Chamfering will have to do.
The curve will be out of style for at least another 2 years. Hinders on-a-surface stability, after all (as was complained about for the 3G and 3GS)

The Geekbench figures for the iPhone 5 are incredible. It scored 1601, compared to the original iPhone which got 136:

Nuts. I would’ve liked a stockpiling of US iPhones in the US. OTOH, it didn’t happen with the 4S and holiday quarter sales still turned out pretty decent.
