safari font issues?

Is anyone else experiencing font issues with Safari? I’m running 5.1.7 on Snow Leopard, and suddenly some websites’ text—every character—looks like nothing but the letter “A” in a box. Stranger still, this is also happening on Apple’s own movie trailer site. That’s a site I visit several times a week, and I’ve never seen this happen before. And I’ve visited it for years. Any idea what gives?

I am not all that familiar with Safari, but…
What is your default encoding set to? It should be Western (ISO Latin 1).
There is also a possibility that you deleted one or more fonts from your library that Safari and/or web sites use.Signature

It turns out that when I added a subfolder to my Library/Fonts folder, that caused the issue. Moving the fonts to the Library/Fonts root fixed the problem.
