The WiFi iPad mini shipped a couple weeks ago, and the WiFi plus LTE version shipped today. Which do you prefer?

iPod rather than iPhone
G3, G4, LTE are great,
It’s the cell companies I can’t stand.Signature
Millions if not billions of people use computers and the Internet.
I build computers and fix the internet.

The iPhone my company gives me has the Hotspot feature, so I use that with my wifi MIni.

Yep, until that mess stops being a mess I’ll stick with ‘dumb’ phones and WiFi only devices thanks. If I really need 3G/4G/LTE/Whatever I’ll rent a little portable “MiFi” (by brand name) or similar to make a hotspot.

LTE on an iPad would be fun, but practically speaking I almost always have access to WiFi when I’m at work, home, or visiting friends and family. I also have unlimited data on my iPhone for the times when I really need to do something online and there’s no WiFi network. So for my needs, I find it hard to justify. If my day to day work involved travel to remote sites, I think it would be easier to justify.

I would always prefer for the iPad mini with WiFI rather than LTE. The carrier service can be awfully bad at certain times,
