  what needs to be done when iPhone 5 wont pair with the bluetooth?

  What device(s) are you trying to pair with? It’s possible that you may need to wait for firmware updates to the device(s) you’re trying to pair with since the iPhone 5 is fairly new.

  I am trying to pair it with the stereo headphones.

  What specific problems are you having when you try to pair?
  There is a known issue with bluetooth pairing and the iPhone 5. Unfortunately most of the issues can’t be solved without an update from Apple.

  it is not recognizing the bluetooth headset.

  I am using Plantronics Backbeat 903 stereo bluetooth headset
