What does this error mean?

    I opened Console and saw this error over and over:

    6/3/14 6:07:05.000 AM kernel[0]: SMC::smcReadKeyAction ERROR TC0D kSMCBadArgumentError(0x89) fKeyHashTable=0x0xffffff803063e000

    What does this mean and how do I fix it?

    Thanks,

    Rich

    Do you run iStat, CPULed or a fan control app? If so, quit them and see if the error goes away.

    Indeed, according to this thread…https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5530737?start=0&tstart=0 the same is recommended.

    To figure out which one is causing the error, if you have only one of the 3 apps mentions then if quitting the app resolves the issue then you know the culprit. However, if you run 2 or more of these apps, quit one at a time to see if you can isolate it.

    You might want to get a hold of the developer and point this out. You can send them your system profile file to help them fix it.
