My apologies for being late to the party but…

I’ve been working off of my girlfriends Thinkpad for the last three months due to it being the only one of three computers we collectively own that has an ethernet card (making it useful for my cable modem). During this time I had to put up with Windows and all the hell it brings. Most irritating of all was the fact that whatever version of Internet Explorer she had on it simply refused to load any of the TMO forums pages correctly (if you’re interested in that bit (Bryan?), drop me a line and I’ll describe how mangled the forum pages were under that browser)..

Anyway, today my new Powermac finally arrived (with almost as much RAM as Mhz ) and I’ve spent the afternoon playing with it when I finally landed here and all I can say is that it is sooooooo beautiful! The pages are rendered quickly and easily! No more mangled pages! No more constant refreshing! And this spell checker thing kicks (I’m using Omniweb)

Ahhh.. Now I know why you people love your Macs (and remember why I used to love mine - before it got shelved over that whole ethernet thing.. )

Congrats on the new PowerMac, Morto!  That’s awesome!  I am glad you like it too.    I am tickled at the mention of the spell-checking too; I don’t know how I lived without it. 

I am definitely interested to know what problems you had with our forums on your ThinkPad.  We actually have about 1/3 of our readers visiting us on Wintel machines, and we work pretty hard to make sure all functions properly.
