A bigger hard drive would be a safe bet, though a 40GB drive is nearly as big as my internal drive.  You’d have to be a SERIOUS music lover to need that much space!

There probably aren’t a lot of people who need more than 20G, but I’m one who would consider it. I would love to have all the music I own with me, and 20G would just barely do it with no room to grow. Given that the 40G drive they would use does actually exist, I’d say it’s in the works.

And if the VTOL/Jet features would allow me to commute above the traffic, well, that would be a nice little bonus. cool

It depends on what you look at, obviously,
But even more it depends on the way that you see

I voted for the VTOL option too. Strap my iPod to my back, push the “play” button and use the scrollwheel and buttons to steer my way to work.

Ideal for a summer commute.

the 40 gig’s is not just about music too.  The iPod has a LOT more uses then just music.

I just bought a 20 Gig MindStor Digital wallet to go with my Olympus E20 Digital camera.  With 11 meg files you can’t take many before your out of space, but with this thing you just plug in the compact flash card into it and download to the harddrive.  Then plug into firewire and the hard drive mounts on your desktop.  It’s awesome.  I can now take 1800 Raw digital picitures (11 megs each) instead of about 15.  But, the bonus is that it’s a quick and easy portable firewire hard drive too….
