WinRoute Pro by TinySoftware would be nice. Firewall, webproxy and mailserver in one for just 30 bucks

I would love to see Sonic Foundry’s Sonic and Sonic Pro music creation tools ported to mac. For loop-based music creation I found nothing is as intuitive and reliable.

That and I’d love to see Xara X ported to MacOS 9 or OS X.

Another vote for BeOS itself… as OS X may have plenty of power, but BeOS has has the same capabilities for 4 years and is a much FASTER OS. Of course with the whole Palm buyout I suppose that’s not likely. icon_eek.gif

I have been dieing to see Pro-E turn up on the mac. It was orginally written as a Unix program so it shouldn’t be that hard to port over to Mac OS X. To boot, it’s graphics engine is openGL and that will be built in in OS X. A program like Pro-E would lead to serious inroads for the mac community into the engineering world. And with OS X’s incredible networking, sticking it into a windoze network is a snap.

I saw there is nobody that seems to be interested in having Quick Books Pro back for the MacOS. I run a small web design and seminar business and for years I used QBPro. It is getting so far behind the Windows version it’s embarracing. I know there are other accounting software, i.e. MYOB’s AccountingEdge, but I don’t want to switch to a new system and fork out more money for the software and the training costs. I am amazed that the CEO of Intuit who is an Apple board member isn’t doing anything in this regard.

My OS X wishlist

*) Softimage
*) Acrobat Reader Palm Desktop (to put PDF files on my Palm)

*) 3D Studio Max
*) Autocad
*) MS Train Simulator

More localized software to help popularity in Europe…

I would love to see Lotus Smartsuite since this is what is the defacto standard at my office and is a pretty decent product.

An industrial strength application suite other than Microsoft’s

WhatRoute - love to see that ported.

How about a port of a GUI representation of the command line TOP? OR PS AUX?  A few GUI representations of the command line would be great!

What Route has been ported.  Do a full install of of OS 9.2.1 and you will find it in your utilities folder.
