Why did you chose to use a Mac in the first place?

I bought my first Mac about 5 months ago. Since then, I have never wanted to touch PC’s again. I am a programmer for windows machines, but since the advent of VPC 4 test drive and my new firewire HDD i have not touched a PC again. I am still in school and love the fact that my iBook has 5hrs of battery, (its sooooo true), and OS X. I didnt like macs b4 OS X but since I saw it on apple.com i fell in love. I am looking at getting a G4 700 coz the iBook is a tad slow and full. But hey, another convert and I have preached my heart out about it. Lucky for me and everyone else, I have also managed to sell 2 more iBooks with more pending.

Long Live the MAC!

I was an Atari fan in Jr High.  I wrote many programs for the Atari 400.  Basic programming was a breeze.  In High School, I bought my first Apple IIe.  I loved it.  I used it for 7 years.  It was so easy to use and rugged.  You just could not breat it.  Well, one day during college, while having a party, some jerk spilled a beer on it.  After sending it off to be repaired, I bought an IBM.

After 1 yr of being frustrated with DOS and Windows, I turned back to the Mac and Bought a IIsi.  It is very tiring trying to figure out all those dll and other cryptic files in windows.  I was so impressed with the ease of use of the mac.  I continue to buy them.  I still have a compaq laptop, but that soon will be replaced with an iBook.

Once you go Mac, you never go back.  Well, atleast I won’t.  You know all my Apples still work.  I have the IIsi, classic (bought 2nd hand), 6100, and IIe in storage.  Long live the Mac.

Pardon me for being pathetic, but I liked it cause of the eye candy.  Getting to know the Mac, with the handy advice of that little guy in the black Apple sweatshirt, on the aging compact Macs at school - that was just The Shiznet as far as my spotty adolescent self was concerned.  I was hooked.  I begged the parental units for months.  They pulled through with a priced-to-clear, just-discontinued, pretty cool SE/30. icon_biggrin.gif

Two days later it broke.  Boo!  So they went back with the intention of replacement, repair or refund, and the nice salesdude cajoled them into getting the refund, chucking in the extra moolah, and finding something Newer and Faster and Cooler.

Oh yes.  They came home with an LCII/Performa 400.  And lo, I beheld its 8-bit colour goodness and never turned away.

HAHA, that’s the ONLY reason why I bought my iMac on a student loan.
