iDon’t know icon_smile.gif

iThink that it is because it sells.

iM sure if it did not work they would stop.

iBelieve it makes there entire product line seem easier to grasp.

iMight be wrong.

I can think of a few possible reasons…
Branding - when I see iSomething I think of Apple
Easy indication of target market - iProducts are for consumer, whose those starting with Power (or ending with Pro as in Final Cut Pro) are professional level products.

Yup, I’d peg it as branding.  Same reason that McDonalds’ has a Big Mac, McChicken, and McHappy Day.

They do here, anyway.

Back in the 90s, why did Apple put “Power” in front of everything?

To every era its marketing.

(in the event that transmission via the internet has stripped this message of its intent, the question above is rhetorical icon_wink.gif )

Compaq had already called dibs on ‘q’.
