e has officially announced the Eighth Annual Apple Design Awards, a program designed to acknowledge the best development in the Mac OS X market. Part of this year's World Wide Developer Conference, the Apple Design Awards will acknowledge seven winners in seven categories, along with seven runners-up. Winners earn a hardware prize and a trophy, as well the right to advertise the award when marketing the product. The hardware prize package is a 17" PowerBook, along with a 23" Cinema Display HD (along with an ADC/DVI adapter). The winner in the Student category gets the PowerBook and travel and lodging to the WWDC itself
