iPhoto, iTunes, & The Finder [Link Corrected]

I ke pt waiting for the other shoe to drop. Like the old saying goes, "No good deed goes unpunished." Trevor did ask some questions about his new Mac, all of which were good ones. The best one had me stumped for a while. He asked me why iPhoto and iTunes create their own unintelligible folder structure within their respective media folders
