Thanks for the tip.  I used phone cleaner and was able to get 1.5GB of space back by deleting a huge cache from one app.  I’ll have to check out some of their other apps.  I still have over 2GB in the other category in iTunes but don’t want to restore the iPhone.  I tried something on the web about using iExplorer, and deleting some stuff, but it only was a temp fix.

PhoneClean is a great tip.  I ran it on my iPad and removed 3GB which is quite a bit when I had 15GB available to start with (32GB Retina).

It may be just perception but it seemed to speed things up a bit too.
