I personally use something similar to little snitch I used to use little snitch but now I use Virus Barrier X6 by intego. Netbarrier is bundled with the virus app. If you open VB X6 then go to the Privacy tab, you can turn on Anti-Spyware and it is very similar to little snitch. I think you guys are right perhaps little snitch may be the issue. All he has to do is switch it off and see if that fixes the issue. Perhaps the version of little snitch is not compatible with the new OS and needs an update.
