If you use the Smart Cover that Apple introduced along with the iPad 2, but wish for a matching protective back, be aware that Bracketron feels your pain. They have released the Back-It which is designed specifically to accompany Smart Covers to provide a complete look along with added protection.
Bracketron Back-It
The Back-It is made from polycarbonate. It is very, very slim and light weight. It has a brushed look and soft-touch feel. It snaps in place and provides excellent grip. It is easy to wipe away fingerprints and smudges. The Back-It provides full access to all buttons and functions, including the camera, volume control and syncing. The MSRP is US$29.95 but I found it on several Internet stores for around US$15.00. It is only available in orange, green, pink, gray, and blue.

Using the product
There is just enough flexibility in the Back-It to allow for easy attachment and removal. It looks very nice when combined with a matching Smart Cover, presenting attractive, light weight protection. It also works well when the Smart Cover is folded back to form a stand, providing a stable surface upon which to anchor the Smart Cover. I’m not sure why the product is not available in all the Smart Cover colors; perhaps that will come in the future. The “matched set” factor is a major selling point and one many people have requested, but there is nothing to match my red Smart Cover.
Do I recommend it?
I do. It does what it says it will do, plus it is light weight, easy to care for, and easy to carry.
