Just Mobile’s AluPen Pro Stylus Is Classy & Useful

| Quick Look Review

Just Mobile specializes in creating items utilizing aluminum construction techniques that produce stylish and useful implements. The AluPen Pro, which is a revamp of the company’s original AluPen stylus, is no exception. This pro version has a stylus on one end but has the added feature of a retractable ballpoint pen on the other.

The dimensions of the AluPen Pro are 5.23 x 0.4 x 0.35-in.* It’s available in both silver and black, a departure from the usual offerings of the company which are usually only available in brushed silver. There are six definite sides to the pen. The package includes a replacement stylus nib, replacement pen cartridge and an imitation leather carrying case. The ballpoint refill is from Pelikan. The MSRP is US$39.95.

Using the product

There is an excellent feel to the AluPen. The six sides provide a solid grip. The length will be acceptable to all but those with very large hands, who may feel it is a bit short for comfort. The pen writes smoothly with good ink flow. The stylus works well for both game playing and entering text. It also worked well for turning pages when reading on my iPad.

Do I recommend it?

I do. It is stylish, well constructed and handy. I think it would be particularly useful in business meetings and school settings.  One other thing to note: it comes very stylishly packaged with a top flap on the box that opens to reveal the contents laid out inside the box in special compartments for each item (case, pen, extra nib). When I opened it, my first thought was that it would make an excellent company gift or special gift for someone you wanted to impress.
