Kenu Stance Tripod for iPhone is Small, Folds Up and Even Opens Bottles

Now admit it, when was the last time you saw a tripod that doubles as a bottle opener? Kenu has released the Stance Tripod for all iPhones that uses a Lightning connector. It's adjustable, folds flat, and can fit in most pockets. When folded, the Stance is smaller than a pack of gum. It measures  3.1 inches (7.9 cm) long and weighs 1.2 ounces (34 grams).

Stance Tripod

The Stance mounts to the Lightning port of the iPhone, and while mounted, the phone can be charged.

Charging Port

Unlike most tripods, this one can be used in horizontal and vertical positions.

Horizontal placement

The Kenu Stance Tripod can be used with both dressed and undressed iPhones. As long as the charging port fits in your iPhone dressed in a case it will work. Those who have very heavy duty cases might find that the charging port doesn't fit securely, in which case it should not be used.

Stand can be tilted to get the best angle.

And then, there is that bottle opener.

Kenu’s Stance Tripod has an MSRP of US$29.95 and is available from Amazon.

Using The Product

It is easy to insert the tripod into the iPhone and it is easy to adjust the legs of the tripod to get the height and position you want. The tripod, which is quite sturdy, stays in place once you have it set up.  It is equally easy to fold and unfold the tripod. The iPhone stays put when plugged into the Lightning connector.

Do I Recommend It?

I do. It does what it says it will do. It holds its shape once set up and does not rock if you are touching your screen.  It is easy to use. It works in either vertical or horizontal position which is a nice plus. I like the fact that it can be folded and carried in a pocket.
