More Information On The YML All Star Party, MacCentral's Mosaic Project, & More On Tonight's Your Mac Life

by , 1:00 PM EDT, July 10th, 2002

It's Wednesday, and that means it's time for another edition of Your Mac Life. Your Mac Life is a weekly QuickTime Streaming broadcast about the Mac industry in the tradition of a radio talk show hosted by Shawn King. This week's show has a lot on the agenda, including information on MacCentral's very cool MacCentral Project: Mosaic 2002, some folks who have made a video project on their Mac called "Moms of All By Myself," and more news on the YML All Star Party.

The Mac Observer is sponsoring the Mac All Star Band, which will be playing at the YML All Star Party. The band is comprised of Mac luminaries Paul Kent, Bob "Dr. Mac With A Guitar" LeVitus, Chris Breen, Duane Straub, Chuck La Tournous, Scott Scheinbaum, Tom Irish, and our own Dave Hamilton. The band will also feature a few guest appearances from other members of the Mac community.

The Mac Community is sometimes less of a community and more simply a group of people who use the same kind of computer. But the folks at the MacCentral Forums have taken the Community aspect very seriously and have come together in support of one of their own.

The MacCentral Project: Mosaic 2002 is in support of the United Cerebral Palsy organization. Linda Turner of UCP New York and Alec Fromm, a major contributor to the Project, will join Shawn in discussing it.

Every parent knows about the challenges of getting the "little ones" to learn those every day tasks. Well, the Moms of All By Myself are here to help with their video series hosted by "Buddy the Ladybug," all done on Macs of course!

For all of you who have taken advantage of the great deal at the Metropolitan Hotel for next week's MACWORLD Expo, the Sales Manager will appear on Your Mac Life to talk about what you can expect.

If you have any questions for any of tonight's guests, please send them to Shawn at [email protected].

And the hottest party at MACWORLD Expo is going to be the one presented by Your Mac Life and Macworld magazine!

The YML All Star Party has a great list of sponsors - MacCentral, Mactivity, Maxtor, ExtremeMac, MacTech, TackyShirt, Company Stuff, Griffin Technology, Marathon Computer, The Mac Trainers, All By Myself and Other World Computing and the Macintosh All Star Band is being presented by The Mac Observer!

This is a private, Invitation Only, VIP Event.
