Barely a day after Apple released an update to OS X, the company pulled the update files. The KnowledgeBase article explaining the update has been pulled, and those who hadn't updated can no longer find the update listed in the Software Update Control Panel. Several TMO readers report having issues with DHCP and icons not working properly after the update. Apple released a statement concerning the issue, as reported by C|Net:
"We have temporarily removed the Mac OS X v10.2.8 software update while we resolve an issue affecting Ethernet networking on a small number of Power Mac G4 desktop systems," the company said in a statement provided to CNET News.com. "We anticipate that the issue will be resolved soon."
You can find the full article at C|Net's Web site. Apple has not answered our requests for further information. TMO has asked Apple for more information, and we will post an update as soon as we know more.
