TMO at MWSF - Netopia Announces Timbuktu Pro 8

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Netopia will preview Timbuktu Pro 8 for Mac OS X at Macworld Expo this week, the company announced today.

With version 8, the software for remoately controlling Macs and PCs gains Rendezvous support and can take advantage of the Mac OS X User accounts on a connected system to provide access and improved security. Timbuktu Pro 8 will also employ strong data encryption and data compression using SSH connections designed specifically for securely accessing remote computer.

Timbuktu Pro 8 will be released in late February. Netopia has yet to update its site with information on Timbuktu Pro 8, but the press release can be read here (PDF).
