Detroit Free Press: iPod shuffle is Next Must-Have Product

by , 11:10 AM EST, January 18th, 2005

Mike Wendland of the Detroit Free Press has dubbed Apple's new iPod shuffle the "next must-have product." The comment came in a review of the iPod shuffle published by the Free Press, where Mr. Wendland regularly covers Apple-related issues.

The review is largely standard fare that discusses the ins and outs of working with the iPod shuffle, offering Free Press readers a look at the new music player.

Offering kudos to the sound quality, form factor, and battery life of the device, Mr. Wendland also calls the lack of a display a "non-factor." According to him, Apple is right that the shuffle approach to listening to music on the diminutive iPod matches the way most people listen to their music.

The review closed with Mr. Wendland having said "Way to go, Apple. You did it again. The Shuffle is one hot new product."
