QuickerTek Announces Boost Antenna for iBooks

by , 7:00 AM EDT, June 16th, 2005

QuickerTek has announced what it is calling "the first antenna for all Apple iBooks with AirPort wireless capability," including AirPort Extreme.

The new antenna is an external device that features 5.5dBi of power and improves the wireless range and signal strength in all wireless environments. The company said the new antenna adds an additional 200 to 300 yards of wireless range, effectively doubling its range.

The antenna also features connections for other QuickerTek external antennas.

The antenna comes with all hardware required as well as a CD-ROM with wireless software. It includes a one-year warranty on parts and labor. The new iBook antenna works with all iBook models and is available for $99.95, the company said.
