Lasso Professional Server 8.5 Offers Universal Binary, More

OmniPilot Software on Monday released a Universal Binary of its Web scripting programming application Lasso Professional Server. Version 8.5 also features built-in LDAP integration, shell support, enhanced site administration, e-mail improvements, and support for such native data sources as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, SQLite, ODBC, FileMaker, and OpenBase.

This is a free update for Premier Members of the Lasso Professional Alliance. The full software is US$649, with upgrades starting at $349.

OmniPilot on Monday also unveiled ChartFX for Lasso, enabling users to add graphically dynamic charts to their Web applications. It's free with Lasso Developer 8.5, or US$999 by itself.
