Addonics Introduces Flash Media Encryption System

Addonics Introduces Flash Media Encryption System

by , 11:10 AM EDT, July 20th, 2006

Addonics Technologies announced the immediate availability of the Cipher UDD on Thursday. The Cipher UDD is a hardware-based system that encrypts and decrypts the contents of Flash-based media on the fly, and is available with either a USB 2.0 or eSATA connection. It uses a hardware key instead of requiring a password, and encrypted storage devices appear blank to anyone without the proper key.

The Cipher UDD is priced at US$79 with a USB interface and 64-bit encryption, or $125 with 128-bit encryption.
