ShowStoppers - McAfee SiteAdvisor Helps You Surf Safely

by , 12:45 PM EDT, October 16th, 2006

NEW YORK, NY -- McAfee showed their SiteAdvisor tool at the recent ShowStoppers press event. SiteAdvisor is a downloadable tool that works with the Firefox browser, on both Mac and PC. It provides information on several features of a Web site, helping you while you surf, and letting you know what may happen after you visit a site.

SiteAdvisor Helps You Surf Safely

SiteAdvisor will let you know if a site contains excessive pop-ups and other annoyances. It also tests any downloads available from the site, looking for viruses, bundled adware and spyware. If a site solicits you for an e-mail address, SiteAdvisor will let you know if a particular site is honest, or if providing your e-mail address will result in an in box full of spam.

SiteAdvisor is available as a free download.
